NM Elk Down
Date:
Used the 250 grain bonded bullets in Super Glide Sabots for a New Mexico Elk hunt. Chose these because they shoot great out of My TC Omega. Very accurate out of my gun. Took a 6x5 elk at 20 yards. The elk was quartering to me and the shot was placed on point of the shoulder. The bullet broke the shoulder and destroyed the heart and lungs, did not pass through. All we found of the bullet was fragments of the copper jacket. The elk ran about 10 yards and expired.

Not what expected but works
Date:
I shoot this bullet in my TC Prohunter with 2 and sometimes 3 white hot 50gr pellets. It is extremely accurate with either load. I have used this set up for the last couple of years and have taken several dear, large and small. The problem is that they have not allowed for much of a blood trail. I started checking into it and found that after digging some of these bullets out of my back stop of my target which is short sections of old electric pole, the nylon tip just pushes back into the bullet but only expands the bullet very little and does not mushroom as I thought they would. I have had the same experience with the non bonded and the regular sabot also.
The second bullet is also pretty hard to load.
