ReelBait® Red Tail Long Shank Flasher Jig

Red Tail Flasher jigs embody some of the legendary Original Walleye Flasher Jig characteristics but refined with a few cosmetic tweaks and color schemes. They combine the best attributes of the horse-head jig and the stand-up jig to produce the perfect amount of vibration and flash. The small willow-leaf blade imitates a small dying baitfish. Per 2. Great Jig!

This is a great looking jig, I bought it because I wanted a jig with some flash and seeing that red blade sold me. I got the fire tiger color in the 1/4 oz size, first time using the jig on MN opener 2012, tipped with a 5 inch Gulp leech, 27 inch walleye!
Red is the color, it looks awesome in the water. I am picking up more colors and sizes, highly recommend.

Blood Red Fish Catcher

I've always noticed how a deeply hooked fish, that is bleeding, billows red out its gills as it struggles for life. The big red blade of the Redtail Flasher jig looks a lot the same and, I think, that is why gamefish such as walleye, pike and bass seem to jump all over this jig. My favorite presentation is to fish a whole, dead, salted minnow threaded onto the jig (in the mouth, out the gill and then back into the body) with long, high strokes and a 2-3 second pause in between. The high stroke seems to bring in the fish and the pause, with the stand-up head, triggers them. When I don't have salted minnows, I use a 3-4 inch swimbait-style plastic, fished the same way with shorter pauses. GOOD LUCK :>)

awesome ice fishing bait

I fished this bait tipped with shiners for 4 days through the ice in the U.P. of Michigan last weekend.(Feb.) It caught 17 walleyes, (one 10 lb and one 7.7lb) A 24 in. whitefish and two sturgeon (a 45in, and a 32in .) it out fished all other lures 10 to 1! What used to be a red hook is now gold due to all those walleye teeth stripping it clean. This lure is one tough lure!!!!!
Run, don't walk, either to your computer or your nearest Cabela's and buy a dozen of these lures!!!

nice product, too expensive

I used these jigs in Canada and found them to be great a catching walleyes but for the price will probably use a less expensive spinner jig next time.
