I used these for Walleye last spring when ever the Maumee wasn't over the flood stage. Used a 4 foot leader after the sinker weight and never had the jig snag. They work very well, the fish strike them and they don't drag the bottom. They are a bit light for bigger fish, so you can't muscle every fish to the net. That is my reason for only a 4 star rating,
the coating on these jigs covers the eye of the jig and I cannot find a way to clean them with out taking the caoating off of the entire head or at least half of the coating. Tried needles, knife, Cabela's Jig eye cleaner tool.
These floating gumdrop jigs have worked well for me at bagging a few walleyes when trolled slowly (1.3 to 1.5 mph) behind a bottom bouncer or lindy rig tipped with a minnow. I've found these to work best in late spring when the walleyes are a little lethargic.
