Great little inexpensive rod

I have the 5'6" 2-piece Ultralight model (CVS-F56UL2A) and love it for backpacking to remote lakes stuffed with trout. The action is probably a little slower than ideal, but you don't need much backbone in an ultralight model anyway, and the build quality is far better than any other comparably price rod I've seen. There also aren't many rods at this price point that come with a lifetime warranty. I have it paired with a 750 Sahara that I'm equally impressed with. Overall, it is a great rod at a great price.

worst rod i ever owned

i used this rod for about half a season i caught a few 2 pound and less trout but when i hooked up on a what felt like a three pound bass no joy the rod broke like a hot knife through butter i will never buy one again!!! Ill stick with my Ugly stick

Had this rod for 5 months now, use it mainly for throwing spinner and spoon. It does it's job well. Strong and sensitive rod, able to pull almost anything from the water including couple of big steelie.
If you looking for a starter rod, this is one of the good choice. Limited lifetime warranty doesn't hurt too.
