I've always loved the ugly stick blanks and shekespears customer service. I did find one thing I'd like to be better on this rod. The reel attachment could be a better design to hold a spinning reel better. It is a very good rod other than the update I'd make.

I bought this rod late in the ice season. Excelent value for the money. Added a spring bobber and a Pflueger 4520 reel and 4 # line. Fished with it two times before the ice went out and could'nt be more satisfied. Works good for panfish and still has the backbone for something bigger. Yes I would recommend this to a friend. Buy it.

Great for Walleye, not trout

This rod is very good and does everthing I need it to but like all ugly stiks its fairly stiff. It works amazing for walleye but requires a sensitive indicator for trout

good rod bad reel holders

been out fishing with it twice now good rod catching gills, crappie and a small northern .
the reel holders loosen up all the time and twist..
need to add twist ties to secure it better.
