Trolling reel
Date:
Perfect for trolling. Along with the W.M. trolling rod it is unbelivable how light and yet strong enough to hoss in some nice fish.

Wally Marshall signature crappie reel
Date:
I only give this reel 2 stars because it has a design or workmanship flaw in the clearance of the spool edge and the frame that allows line to get between the spool and frame causing a bad jam that can ruin your day. When this happens the line tangles around the spool shaft and is usually hard to get out without disassembling the reel. I know some people use heavy line to fill the spool and then tie on a leader of lighter line to eliminate this problem with these types of small baitcasters. It won't work on this reel because 20 lb line will fit in the gap. If Lew's would correct the clearance problem this would be the best reel of it's type on the market. The reel functions good otherwise and even casts smoothly - unless the line goes in the gap between the spool and frame.

Great small reel!

You have to try this reel. Small in stature, big in performance. Just what I was looking for.
