Best deal by far
Date:
The local Cabelas sold out of these quickly while the bigger, more expensive tip-ups hung there all season. I can see why. These Bones are small, simple, cheap, and they work well. 5 will fit in a bucket easily with plenty of room for other stuff. They will make you want to pare down your gear to the lightweight essentials and allow you to travel easier. Lets be honest, unless you are in 4 month-of-the-year thick ice country, going for bigger game fish, these are all that 90% of ice fishermen will ever need. Ingenious compact design. Recommended.

solid for the price
Date:
i purchased 3 of these at the richfield wi location a few weeks ago to "get my feet wet" in the world of ice fishing with out busting the bank. they have all worked flawlessly and have handled pike (largest 28") and walleye (largest 18") with ease. would recommend frabill lube and foam hole covers along with these.
