This leader is perfect for fishing over fussy fish, making the fly appear to be floating freely. Had great luck on the West Branch Delaware last summer with the sulphur hatch.

Fly fishing leaders

Used the 5X for fishing in NZ; tippets broke very easily; must have been a bad batch; guide couldn't believe how bad the line was; he replaced all of the tippets with his own material.

Seaguar Florocarbon Leaders

I have found Seagur florocarbon leaders to be the best. I have landed 25 pound King Salmon on 10 pound test. Very abrasion resistant. Very good for spooky fish. However I would not recomend it for small dry flies as the florocarbon is heavier than mono and tends to drag down smaller flies. I fish size 26 tricos for trout and seem to constantly have to apply flowtant.
