Our top-of-the-line L-Tech fly rods are among the lightest and most powerful on the market. Best of all, high-tech performance is available at a price no other rods in their class can touch. The L-Tech’s innovative design required us to think outside the box. One look tells you these are not like any other fly rods. One cast will tell you the same. The primary goal was to reduce all unnecessary weight. During the design process, everything that could go is gone, leaving only a rod in its most pure and elite form. The exposed-blank reel seat is crafted of high-grade machined aluminum with a bronze finish and a techy look worthy of the design. The seat has two sections. The hood fits up into the cork handle. The threaded barrel section encloses the butt end of the blank. This eliminates the unnecessary weight of the middle insert. The bond with the blank remains as strong as conventional reel seats. The up-locking Delrin® ring ensures the locking nut will snug the reel securely into place. A proprietary blend of IM6, IM7 and IM8 graphite achieves a balance between line-zipping fast action and lightweight strength. It flawlessly transfers energy between the backcast and forward cast, propelling line to your target with accuracy and sizzling speeds. L-Tech rods incorporate REC Recoil stripper guides made of nickel titanium alloy for added weight reduction and durability. Recoil guides always return to their original shape, won’t corrode and are 50% lighter than other types of stripper guides. The remaining rod guides are a combination of titanium carbide double-foot snake guides and tip top. Includes rod tube. 25-year limited warranty.

very impressive
Date:
I finally got to throw my new L-tech 6wt last weekend on the Chattooga in GA. Tossed a type 6 sinking 6 wt line with big size 8 tungsten headed woolly buggers for two days and am very impressed with this rod's performance. Hard to believe a rod this light could be so powerful. Halfway through day 3 I switched to a seven weight WF-7F to cast dries to risers. No problem at all. This is a rod that can handle pretty much anything. I also kept noticing the high quality cork handle. It feels like a much more expensive rod. I think I need another..

Great Value for a Great Price
Date:
I Have been fishing for many years and recently purchase the Cabelas L-tech rod. I was impressed with this rod even though I have fished Sage, and G. Loomis rods before. The casting was better than both hands down! When I go fishing now it is the first rod to be put into the truck. If your looking for good rod whether you are a beginner or have been fly fishing all your life, this rod is a great one and you cannot beat the warranty.

Love this Fly Rod
Date:
Cabela's has out done themselves again! WOW! Fast, light, and accurate. I have used Winston and TFO rods and this keeps up with them. Full 360 degree casting range. I can pick up my line and instantly cast in any direction. Great control, feel, and strength! I can cast this rod all day and not get fatigued.

Awesome Rod!
Date:
I love this rod! It is light accurate and fast! I will disagree with folks that say this is a medium action rod ... it is not ... I would put it in the Fast category! Granted I have been casting the same G-Loomis rod for 25 years and I would consider it a slow action so maybe it is my perspective. I have casted this rod next to the GLX streamdance and can tell very little if any difference! Money well spent!
