My Buddy
Date:
It has been several years sense my purchase of my 6'6" travel rod, I got a great deal on it at a K sale, 85% off, of all the rods I have, this one gets used 98% of the time for any fishing I do. It has held up great to my northern salmon fishing with some of the fish weighing in over 25 lbs. and still does great for those trout streams and the 7"- 15" light weights. Bass fishing is a breeze with this pole, very responsive to quick bites and very sensitive to those tricky nibblers. One of these days I'll have to get another one to add to the collection, so I'll have my golden years covered. The only down fall, if you want to call it that, is the rubber end plugs disappear and leave you with an open hollow pole, but so far, it hasn't hindered the function of the pole.

great rod
Date:
the rod has very good sensitivity... I had two of these years ago that got "lost" in a move... used one of these that a friend of mine has had for a very long time and had to buy my own after that experience... I use the rod with a braided line.. the combination gives very long casts and trouble free retreival... i have used my rod for five months now on bi-weekly fishing trips and have successfully landed some very large and aggressive Trout with zero problems... I am a very happy camper indeed!...

Very flimsy
Date:
I have used two of these rods and both have now broken on back country trips. The first was on a rather large (in theory since it swam away) trout and just recently on a really light snag. Both time it was the second piece from the top. Maybe I expect too much from a travel rod, but neither time would I have even thought the rod was in danger. Time to shop for a different brand.
