The Supreme 8040MG is one of the smoothest spinning reels out there with nine stainless steel ball bearings and a one-way instant anti-reverse bearing to aid in fighting the big ones. Ported anodized machined-aluminum spool and sideplate keeps the reel’s weight down. A Sure-Click™ bail gives an audible signal when the bail is fully opened and ready to cast. The anti-twist titanium line roller lays line evenly on the spool to prevent tangles. A sealed drag system keeps the drag free of debris for long-lasting service. A spare aluminum spool comes with the reel for swift line changes. This reel easily converts from right- to left-hand retrieve.
