After reading all the positive reviews I bought these rod racks for mounting under my T-top. In rough water rods would randomly pop out of the "hook" end. Despite the fact that the little rubber nub that is supposed to hold the rods in place is pretty stiff, somehow I had rods popping out on a regular basis. Not fun when you are trying to navigate rough water. I am going to tear them out and install the type that has a more positive rod retention method.
I used mine to wall mount my rods. I have a variety of lengths from Fly rods, surf rods to bait caster bass rods. It works great and is easy to retrieve the rods. You have to drill the mount holes yourself, but this allows flexibility in screw sizes depending on where you mount it. The trickiest part is realizing the eye mounts attach to the frame with the hex wrench from the backside with the threaded screw between the eye and the brace. There are no instructions on this piece, but it is easy to comprehend once you see it.
