Used this kit to roll my very first rod. A very enjoyable affair. The GST1006 casts 1-1.5 oz'ers comfortably in the 60-70 yd range though gets a little heavy when bombing 2 oz'ers (then again, what wouldn't?). The price is great, I'll be back for more.

I have ordered many kits and blanks from Cabela's and they are excellent quality. This one was a back order and it did take a few months but it was worth the wait.

After a few damaged at factory or in shipping I got the kits I wanted and this being the fourth kit I have purchased from Cabelas I am extremely happy with these kits as they are easy to build and the finished product I would put up against any other rod made in a factory. I give these rods 5 stars and will be buying more to build and give away as gifts to relatives and friends.
