Sage Z-Axis Fly-Rod Blanks
- Generation 5 technology is lighter, stronger, easier to cast
- Advanced Fiber Technology creates more responsive graphite
- New taper designs with overall better performance
With the creation of the Z-Axis, Sage introduces a fly-rod blank that is significantly lighter, stronger and
easier to cast for anglers of all skill levels. Sage's latest Generation 5 (G5) Technology is marked by
improvements to the entire Z-Axis rod-blank building process. Proprietary software was used to analyze
and evaluate performance requirements and to determine materials to eliminate. Additional
advancements in Aligned Fiber Technology are replacing traditional glass-hoop fibers with lighter, more
responsive graphite. This forced Sage to create new construction techniques to align and compress the
rods for maximum strength. The results are new tapered designs for each rod blank, improved line feel,
stronger tip, and better overall performance.
