Really fine blank to build on

I built rods out of the 6'6" 2wt blank for UL fishing. Two versions, one fly, one spin. Excellent in both versions.
Also built an UL spin rod out of the 7' 3wt. Again, excellent.
Built a fly rod out of the 9' 8wt for my brother. His boss bought it off him for major bucks, so I had to build him another! LOL
I've built two spinning rods out of this same 9' 8wt blank. They make excellent redfish and speckled trout rods for fishing the marsh in my home state of Louisiana. They cast further than anything anyone has out there, allowing me to reach fish the others can't.
This IM7 blank series may be the best bargain out there. They are strong, light and durable. I've not had one fail yet.

IM7 Rod Blanks

I have built quite a few IM7 rods from 9' to the 6'6" 2wt and have used them mainly for trout. I have never had any problems with any of them, and am quite impressed with their quality and action. Over the years I have used some high priced rods with fancy price tags, and will put these blanks against most of them. Great deal.

I fly fish more than a man ought to...I have more fly rods than a man ought to have... from very, very expensive to moderately expensive. For my fishing and casting style the rod I made from this blank will compare to the much more expensive blanks. I don't believe you will go wrong with this blank.
