Model T Rotary Rock Tumbler

Rock collecting can be a fun, educational and interesting hobby, teaching youngsters and adults about natural history. The Model T has a single watertight molded-rubber barrel with a one-quart capacity. It also has a 115-volt, 1/250th hp impedance-protected motor, and a heavy-gauge steel base. Comes with enough polishing grit to do complete polishing process in one barrel; 12-oz. package of rocks to get your budding rockhound started; jewelry kit and a book on rocks.

I bought this for my son for his birthday and it does take patience. It takes a few weeks for the rocks to be completely polished. I do think it worked really well though and was worth the money.

i didn't understand why my wife wanted a rock tumbler for her birthday, but I succumbed to the the pressure. I finaly turned to Cabela's to satisfy the request after checking out the local 'bargin' houses. The outright quality of this tumbler overshadowed the other brands I looked at.
The short story is this little tunbler "ROCKS". The wife loves how quite it is compared to her friends tumbler and the results to date are nothing short of AWE inspiring. She has her eye on a couple more or maybe the larger version.
She is so happy with this tumbler I earned a few more 'kitchen passes' to go shoot with the guys after this purchase.

Precious and semi-precious gem stones polish up real nice and make some stones gem quality that otherwise would be discarded to the fish tank.
