When it comes to rimfire ammo that wins matches, only Eley is worthy of the Remington name. This is serious .22 long-rifle ammunition for serious shooters who insist on exceptional accuracy and performance from each and every shot. It’s loaded with Target Rifle 40-grain LRN bullets. Available:
250 rounds of Target Rifle LRN and one Dry-Storage box
500 rounds of Target Rifle LRN and one Dry-Storage box
After trying 3 other brands and sighting in my bolt action Ruger .22 I loaded 5 rounds of this ammo. At 30 yards it was consistantly 1/2 inch low. For my purpose, hunting and plinking, the other brands are a better buy.
I've been using these for sighting in my scopes at 10 meters and they consistently put the rounds through the same hole when In a lead sled. Even in sitting and prone, I'm keeping sub 1/2 inch groups and I'm not the steadiest of shots! LOL Keep in mind, these are "target" rounds designed for either indoor or outdoor CLOSE range shooting usually between 25 to 50 feet. These are DEAD ON! Because these are subsonic, they remain stable because they don't pass through the sound barrier which makes .22 rounds unstable as they pass through and re-enter the sound barrier at long distances. I recommend these to anyone doing close range indoor shooting.
I've used top of the line Eley (red box and EPS) for years in various Anschutz 22 target rifles. For the price, this Eley is really not worth the money. There are other brands that are more accurate and less expensive. Just because it has the Eley name does not mean it is top of the line or incredibly accurate.
