Great Ammo

This stuff really does a great job on prairie dogs at close range. The boys can go through 500 in no time at all. It does pay to keep a few 50 count 17 hmr or .22 empty cases around. We shoot 10/22's with a 10 round clip. Keeping the shells organized is much better than pulling them out of a bulk box.

Too many no-fires

I bought four boxes of this ammo for target practice at the indoor range. I take 50 rounds twice a week and shoot either a Taurus revolver or Ruger Mark III. Consistently, one round fails to fire each week. I try three times to get it to fire (3 dents in the rim!). Sometimes the round will fire on the second try, sometimes on the third, but most of the time the round is a dud. That's a 2% failure rate.

When out shooting, I have sometimes found that using the less expensive 22 long rifle shells that I did not purchase at Cabela's often times produced jams. Because of previous purchases at other stores, I found that quality does count when buying ammunition. Since I began purchasing ammunition at Cabela's, I have not had that problem. I will continue to buy all of my ammunition from Cabela's. One just can't beat quality.
