I have used many different brands and the Hornday .17 HMR rounds work great in my new Savage .17 HMR Rifle. 30 Rounds in less than 3/4" circle. Some are a whole in a hole and some are touching.
I have been ordering ammo and other items for about 10 years from cabelas. Anything from .223 45 acp 22 magnum and at least 3,000 rounds of .17 17 and 20 grain. From my Marlin I can say that accuracy is excellent and the report from the dischage is very low. It's difficult to just fire off 100 rounds and me and friends usually have to make up more targets or just start shooting butterflys (just kidding).
Another good thing is that the 22 magnum and .17 use the same clip.
Although cabelas offers many items I have found that you get what you pay for so I always try to order the best performing items.
I do wish they would start sending ammo in the old used military ammo cans. They have an air tight seal and keep the ammo from tarnishing as happend here in Florida where I live on a salt water bay.
This ammo shoots the best from my Savage - easily under 1". But I sure don't need another ammo box. I would have been happier to have saved a few bucks and let Cabela's keep the box. On the other hand, I was glad that Cabela's had these in stock. Like everything else, these were hard to find lately.
