Fun to shoot
Date:
Every once i a while ill bring these fun bullets out to show friends and they always love them and just want to shoot and shoot which is the only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is because they are too expensive! but besides that, buy them because they are really fun to shoot but your gun will get pretty dirty pretty quick!!

Poor packaging/Waste of money
Date:
I've shot these before and had great luck. Before I bought from the manufacturer and I only bought one 50 round box. They were great; every one traced and flew straight. No FTE or FTF. Not even jams.
So lets get to this product. There is only one company that makes these: Piney Mountain. When I first opened my package and found 250 rounds in a knock-off ZIP LOCK bag; I knew it wasn't looking good. Just looking in the bag I could see bullets with no residue on the end. So I went out to my range and shot half of them. I would say about half of the half box I shot traced. So were at 25% of the box tracing. DO NOT BUY IN BULK!! THEY COME IN A ZIPLOCK BAG WITH THE TRACE RESIDUE(PHOSPORUS I BELIEVE) NOT ON THE BULLETS AND WILL NOT TRACE!!!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

A Whole Lot of Fun But.....
Date:
This ammo is seriously fun. Took it out on a bright day and I could still see the bullet fly over 100 yards away. It took plinking to a whole new level. My only problem with the ammo is that some of the lead were different in length causing jams. In my Ruger 10/22, this was a nightmare. However, if you use a manual gun, like a pump or bolt action, they work fine but you may need to push the bullet in harder. If they perfected their lead, it would have gotten 5 stars.

Tracer ammo worth the $$$
Date:
This ammo is a great tool to show bullet drop and for getting on paper with a new scope.
It is not the most accurate
but it helps show where your shot are going if you don't have a spotting scope and/or cant see your bullet holes from a far distance.
make sure you have a non flammable backstop!
seems to good out to 75-120 yards 80% of the time.
About 10% of the time the coating blows off when shot.
Looks cool but you loose the shot.
Also fun to load in Hi-cap semi-auto mags every other or every third shot for plinking.
Buy in bulk because you go through them fast.
still cheaper than a lot of center fire ammo.
