Storm WildEye® Suspending Swim Shad

The Suspending WildEye Swim Shad is designed to maintain neutral buoyancy, which is ideal for triggering strikes. A built-in rattle chamber serves to attract fish from a distance, until the holographic swimmin' flash foil catches their eye. Lifelike swimming action closes the deal. Rigged with VMC® needle point back hook and treble belly hook to increase hookups and hold them fast. Per 2.

Not suspending but still effective

The thing you have to be aware of when buying this bait is that it does not suspend, it slowly sinks (ROF=4"/sec). But that doesn't mean that it still isn't one of the most effective swimbaits out there. The bluegill pattern is a dead ringer for most sunfish in a lake. A slow, swim-twitch-pause retrieve has been deadly on the 5lb. Indiana largemouths in cold water in early spring and winter. A quick snapping along the surface is deadly for pelagic species in summer. This bait has a very realistic action and is very versatile. Just learn how to work it and it will work for you.

These lures do not suspend; they sink :(

I got these lures specifically because they claim to be "suspending". The area where we fish is very rocky and I was loosing a lot of lures in the rocks. My hope was that these lures would in fact suspend as advertized which would allow a very slow retrieve just above the rocks... No chance, They definitly sink.

I was going to return them but I did catch fish with them. They turned out to be okay at fooling fish. So, long story short, they are a decent lure just don't buy them expecting them to "suspend"

Decent soft bait and reasonable price.

This lure is a decent buy for the price you get (3) baits and they even hold up against toothy critters such as pike and musky.
