MC coatings and lightweight, lead-free glass provide superior optical clarity, color fidelity, brilliance and the widest field of view in their class. The nonmagnifying reticles in each of the Conquest scopes keep the reticle image constant and hide as little of the target as possible. Up to 66" of windage/elevation adjustment gives you the ability to cope with any situation. Waterproof even with turret caps off, Conquest scopes assure the shooter of a clear view even in the most adverse conditions. They have 1" tubes, and are nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging. Each has an anodized-black surface and matte finish.

The Conquest 3-9 x 40 is an excellent scope for the money. I took a great deal of time deciding which scope to buy and after all my research I would recommend the Zeiss over the Leupolds, Nikkons, and other brands I looked. It is a great scope for the money.

I bought the Zeiss 4.5 x 14 with the Rapid 800 reticle.
That my Kahles had to be sent to Austria for repairs right before my Idaho elk hunt turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
I'd never owned a 14 power scope before, and thought it might be too much scope for me.
We went hunting on horseback with the scoped rifle in the scabbard. Spotting a shooter elk at 235 yards, we dismounted and closed to 165 yards and sat down in cover. With the great clarity of the Zeiss lenses, I was able to watch the elk through the tree branches. Thru the Zeiss, I could easily distinguished the antlers in the shadows of the branches as it browsed. Very sharp images. Even the guide wasn't sure it was still there, but I was certain. I could see it easily through the scope.
When it finally presented the shot, the Rapid 800 reticle was easy to bring to target quickly. The design of that particular reticle is awesome. You're not looking for the exact crossing of two thin black lines to place on a target. The Rapid 800 brings you right into the target quickly. The 14 power clarity was awesome. Incredible detail. I can't say enough about this scope and reticle combination.
*For anyone interested, thanks to those awesome optics, I hit the elk solid followed by a second shot before he dropped. Both entry holes were 1/2" apart. 372-1/8" 6x7. I have a new favorite scope.

I purchased this rifle scope last year for my 300 Winchester Magnum. The two most outstanding features that it has is it's excellent clarity in all hunting conditions and the long eye relief. This scope worked extremely well to help harvest my Idaho elk and I highly recommend it.
