Viper PST FFP
Date:
Received my scope today. After installing, lapping, and checking rings put scope in rings to level with rifle and found that the reticle was a full bubble out of alignment, canted to the left.Needless to say I was disgusted. After all the glowing reviews I've read on many sites I was expecting a quality product. It is already on its way back to Vortex for repairs.Yes,customer service was helpful, but some serious QC would have been much more helpful in my case.So now I wait-again.For the money I expect better. Will probably stick with Leopold,Zeiss,or Schmidt-Bender in the future.I've not had such obvious problems wiyh them.

It's worth it !!!
Date:
I've had a lot of Leupold scopes that were ok. Poor workmanship and rising prices of Leupolds latest products led me to look pick up my first Zeiss Conquest. Check out a Zeiss and you'd never buy a Leupold ever again, now that they're almost the same price. Well I made the mistake of checking out the Vortex 4-16 pst at my last trip to Cabelas. They are awesome ! Just as clear as my Zeiss 4.5-14 but it has way better features. " etched/illuminated/ffp retical, and a bomb proof warranty were the selling points that led to my purchase.
Turret clicks could be a bit more firm but once you install the zero stop shims worries of loosing a zero is soon forgotten.
Well worth the money !!!

MOA reticle pst
Date:
Have used leupold and Nikon tactical line in past, vortex moa reticle much simpler than mil dot, optics clear, only flaw is light reticle goes through battery easy as any bump dial tuns light on. Great warranty. PST scope is probably on parr with mark4 scopes.

Leupold Rival
Date:
i use Leupold scopes in service which are great, but after using the 4-16 Viper with MRAD reticle I can say the Viper scope gives my service Mark 4 a run for it's money.
You will get more for less with Vortex and their customer service is great.
