grate scope for the money

My wife order the vortex diamondback scope 3x9x40 on the 8th and received it on the 11th, mounted it on a ruger compact 243 and compared it to a rifleman 2x7x33 and a conquest 3.5x10x44 at dusk . Hands down vortex over the rifleman. Both are almost equal in price as for the conquest I thought little to no difference between the two. My son and a friend thought the vortex had the edge. The conquest is 3 times the money

Great Glass But...

Wonderful clear optics with large field of view but turrets were loosy goosy. Thay had a wobble to them and did not feel sturdy, nothing like my Nikon Buckmaster. Swapped it out for another and second one would not hold a group at 100 yards from a gun that is a great shooter. Sorry, great glass but poor internal parts on the 2 I tried.

i recently bought this scope and mounted it on my savage .270. the optics are as good as any nikon or leupold i have,sighting in was easy thanks to the crystal clear lens.also like the lifetime warranty and resettable zero feature,and quality build.would highly recommend to anyone who needs a good scope!

Easy to sight in

Put this scope on top of a Marlin X7...This is the first rifle scope and rifle I have ever owned. On paper at twenty yards using old style bore sighting...take out bolt stare down barrel and then adjust scope accordingly. Overlapping shots in three at 20... Moved out to 100 yards... shot three...missed all three, but thats what happens when you move from the platform rest to holding rifle on hand stablilized by truck rail..
Moved target back to 50..back to platform rest...immediately two shots within an inch of each other.. turn nobs...... Next three after that were two in same hole, third 1/2 inch low...
I'm a rookie, but this all occured in twenty minutes with winds gusting hard enough to rock truck. Given these conditions......
I can only begin to imagine what spectacular results this combination will shoot like when I have real time to focus on sighting in.
Only 4 of 5....bright sunny day...cannot comment on low light properties of this scope..thus the 4
