Very Impressed
Date:
Ok, I bought this scope to get by until I could save up the funding for a "real" tactical scope ie.. nightforce or usoptics. After recieving the scope I was very suprised that the cunstruction seems very rigid and the adjustments (MOA and Magnification) felt very crisp, the push pull turret is actually pretty handy so you don't inadvertently move your turrets. I was extremely suprised the first time I looked through the optics, the clarity is phenomenal especially for the price. I Mounted the scope and hauled it across the state in -20degree weather in the back of my pickup. The scope handled the weather perfectly and when I got there I zeroed at 200 yards with near perfect 1/4-3/8 MOA Groups. I then took my drop charts and rifle out into the prairies and at 600 yards the MOA turrets seem to be spot on and repeatable back to 200 yards and out to any distance between. I have now subjected the scope to sub zero temperatures and back to room temperature 5 times and the optics are still as clear as day one. Even at X24 Magnification the scope is very clear with the side focus adjustment even at shorter ranges. An 8"diameter target is easily seen and hit at 600 yards. The downside to this scope atleast for me is that the turrets cannot be set to zero after you sight in because the push-pull system doesn't allow you to set the drums so I guess you are supposed to sight in and just leave it where ever the drum ends up and then add to it for longer ranges. Mine just happened to be exactly zero at 200 yards (I definetely wouldn't count on that happening again) but my windage is at about 2.25 MOA off of zero so I will just have to add to that numer to adjust my windage. The other down side is that one full revolution of the turret is only 7.5MOA so you will have to turn the turret a few revolutions to get out past 600 yards, which can get a little confusing if you don't keep track. I have not tested this unit extensively yet (only 4 full days use in the field) but so far I am really happy with it. In fact I'm considering leaving the BSA on and forgetting about the expensive scope so I can save for a better range finder or other gear. for someone that would like to shoot long range without spending a fortune I would highly recommend starting off with a savage model 10 and this BSA Stealth Tactical Scope. I was able to shoot very tight groups at 600 yards, and would have shot farther but my range finder is limited.
Another thing to note is that the objective housing is very large (2.6") so you need mounts that can accomodate a 50mm objective even though this scope is only 44mm.

Do not Buy BSA
Date:
PUrchased the BSA tactical scope. The front twist cap broke on the 2nd attemp to use it. Trying to get it fixed is at best difficult. BSA makes it a process, I still have not been able to send it back for the "life time warranty". Will never buy BSA again.

BSA = Better Stay Away
Date:
Do not, under any circumstance, buy a BSA scope. Ever. Their quality is abysmal and their customer service is worse. I bought this scope in Jan 2009 and it broke in July 2009 after less than 200 rounds of .223 being shot. I sent it back for warranty service and am now being told that I won't have it back until December. For comparison, the industry standard is 10-14 days. I wish I could post the email exchanges I've had between them so you could really experience their "customer service" firsthand. If you're still thinking about buying a BSA, go to one of the shooting enthusiast discussion boards such as TheHighRoad.org and search BSA. You'll find the comments run about 10:1 against. Do as I should have done and buy a quality scope from Leupold, Nikon, etc. BSA is JUNK.
