Really happy with this scope. Great optics for the money. I just used it on the range but love the clarity. Can't wait to get it out this fall for the hunt!

Nikon Prostaff 2-7x32 Shotgun Hunter
Date:
I bought one of these about a year ago for an in line muzzle loading rifle. So far it has been a great scope. In order to mount it I used short scope mounts but had to remove the iron sights because of interference with the rear sight. I could have left the iron sights on had I bought some taller scope mounts. The scope itself is excellent. The image is so sharp it is almost as if I'm not looking through the scope. The image is very bright as well. It makes the biggest difference around sunrise and sunset. At those times the image from the scope is noticably brighter than without the scope. This scope is very resistant to picking up glare from the sun. It has held its zero well. I have not noticed the zero moving when changing magnification. Eye relief is good. It does take a screwdriver to adjust. The model I bought a is the one with a Nikoplex reticle. It might have been nice to have spent a little extra for the BDC reticle, for 150+ yard shots. Overall this is a very nice scope, especially the image.

The clearest scope in its class
Date:
I am using Nikon Prostaff for my 50 Cal black powder and 308 Rifles for a long time. I bought another one for my shotgun for the last season. There is an unbeatable quanlity in its class. I would highly recommend this product. But do not expect it to perform like a scope that cost a big dollar.

Excellent Value!
Date:
After going through (and breaking!) a couple of cheap scopes on my Remington 1100, I decided to buy a Nikon. I have experience using these scopes attached to large microwave antennas that have to be precisely aimed. I've seen these scopes take a beating from the shock and vibration the antennas are subjected to, and since the antennas are mounted outside, I've seen the scopes survive all kinds of weather.
I mounted it to the rail on the rifled barrel I bought to turn my 1100 into a slug gun, and I couldn't be happier. It has a bright, clear image, is easy to adjust, and has survived several hundred slug rounds fired from my 1100 without any problem.
The BDC is a wonderful addition, and from what I can tell, is spot-on for the ranges listed in the manual.
It's a better gun/scope combination than I am a shooter!
Extremely good value for the money. I'm going to buy another Nikon scope to replace the "No Name" scope that came with my marlin 336!
