I got the package that came with Cabelas Powderhorn scope. Can't tell you how much I love this gun combo. The gun is VERY light, VERY accurate, easy to manuever in a ground blind or treestand. Will take a 150 g charge, and matched with the right sabot, easily reaching out there to 200+ yds. This gun is much more accurate than my 35 Rem Marlin (even with hornaday leverevolution bulltes). Our Muzzle season is short, so I couldn't justify spending more, but now that I have this gun, it far exceeds hunting buddies guns #mostly TC's) that are well over double the costs. You'll need to play around with sabots. TC Shockwaves shoot the most accuate, but they have ZERO expansion. Shot 2 deer on the same, neither had alot of blood and zero hair. One went through the front should on exit, and the hole was the about the same size as the entry hole. I'll find a better match next hunting season. But the gun, especially for the price, is an outstanding value. I even take this out instead of my Rem 1100 with a scope during reg season!
I just bought this rilfe a week ago and was sighting it in this past Saturday for up coming muzzle loading season here in Kentucky. I shot about 15 round and the forearm fell off the gun. I finished sighting it in with out the forearm and it shoots great. After I had time to look at the weapon and found that the clip that is attached to the barrel came off the barrel, this is what the forearm screws into to hold the forearm on. I hope I can spread it apart to get the clip back in the slots on the barrel. That is all the problem I had with this weapon.
