Very light recoil, average 700fps. Useless for hunting. Wish the manufacturer would list velocity n box, impact point 4 inches low at 100 yds

45-70 purchased Totally great

I have used this 45-75 in my Trap Door Carbine and also my Marlin Lever action with no problem but for only one problem. The only problem I have is having enough of this 45-70. I am shooting a one and 3 quarter group. I have used my 45-70 lever gun on my Hog hunting trip in Texas, and one shot thru heavy brush and the hog went down. This ammo is worth ever penny I spent.

Ordered 100 rounds, fired 20 and had one dud. I hope that percentage doesn't stay the same.
