S&B 8mm Ammo

This is the perfect ammo for a German Mauser. The bullett that this rifle was made to shoot. Got the 200 Load with the great Dry Box. This ammo would cost $35.00 per 20/box in Kodiak. Got it on a barge. Theres no other way to get it here without going to Anchorage and paying $30.00 per 20/box. Thanks, Cabelas

Nice ammo, much better than American loads.

I would recommend this ammo to anyone who wants to get all they can out of their 8mm, though I cannot vouch for its accuracy (shooting with a WWII rifle with iron sights) or it terminal ballistics (except on trees) but it reliably feeds in my gun. Which the shorter, lighter, round nose American offerings will not do.

Best 8mm Mauser

This is the only 8mm ammo I have found that is not underpowered; it leaves the muzzle at 2,591 fps with 2,923 ft/lbs of energy, and it's a 196 grain bullet. That's 26 grains heavier than Remington, Federal, and Winchester 8mm, while still being at least 230 fps faster, and more than 800 ft/lbs more energy than our underpowered American loads. Nosler custom and Norma make more competitive loads, but they also are a little underpowered and WAY overpriced. This is the best deal on 8mm you'll find. These rounds have fired flawlessly, and are more accurate than all others I have used. The extra recoil is noticeable, and the extra velocity is even more noticeable.
