i bought a 100rd dry box of the ppu 150gr sp. it shoots really well and seems to give enough force to knock down any deer maybe even smaller elk. i have reloaded about 50rds three times now and havent seen any issues with the brass. it all around it a pretty good buy. its very comparable to Sellier & Bellot Rifle Ammunition. the only down sides to me is the dry box seems to be a lil weaker than the older ones. they still seal ok but i wouldnt put alot of weight in them. also the ppu box's are a thin cardboard to separate the rounds. not very good for reloading.

good deer ammo

I bought this ammo for my PSL. It was hard to find soft point ammo in the correct weight for this gun. Good expansion. My rifle wasn't sighted in very well. I missed the vital zone, and hit the front shoulder bone. It dropped the deer instantly, even though it left a hole the size of a softball. I technically missed, and yet it still dropped the deer instantly. This is the best hunting ammo that I have found for the PSL. There are other soft point bullets out there, but they are generally 180 or 203 grains, which put too much stress on the receiver of this gun. This gun was designed for 147 grain bullets. This is as close as I could find in a soft point design. In other words, this is the ONLY hunting round I have been able to find for this gun. If you plan to use your PSL for actual hunting, This is THE ammo I recommend !!!

Got the 200 Load plus the great Dry Box for my Mosin/Nagant 91-30. This ammo does not exist on Kodiak Island. Have to have shipped here on a barge. No doubt, if it were in the stores here, it would cost $35.00 per 20/box. Thanks Cabelas
