Lowrance LMS-527C Sonar/GPS,

"This is an excellent unit. It is very user friendly with a little reading of the owners manual. I was pleasantly suprised with how acurate the GPS waypoint marker worked. I used this on Patoka lake in Southern Indiana a few weeks ago crappie fishing. I marked several waypoints on the lake where crappie were suspended around structure. As soon as the boat would start to cross one of the waypoints I had marked earlier in the week we would start catching fish. Very nice unit."

portable unit,
February 20, 2008

"I like this unit, with the portable accessories...only problem I have encountered is that the battery (12 volt), had an empty box, no battery, in my shipment, but when I called Cabelas, they sent me a battery for the portable unit! Great customer service! Tried unit out only once so far, after a learning curve, had unit up and running in my pond, and finally saw the bottom, structure, and fish in the pond! Havent used the gps potion to form an opinion, but it did lock in on my property! If you ask me, I like it, and can take it from boat to boat...I give it a thumbs up!"
