Great handheld VHF, May 3, 2007
By goose327 from Sonora, Ca.

"I used my new Cobra 99 aboard my sailboat last week with GREAT results. For a handheld VHF this one can't be beat. I have a Cobra MRF55 in the cabin but for close range(up to 7 miles)the handheld was just as good, and "handy". Battery life is awsome, I ran one set of Duracells for two full days and didn't miss a beat. Price was a factor in purchasing this unit, but inexpensinve dang sure didn't mean cheap.
My friends on the water were as impressed as I was, and a couple will be ordering one.
Thanks, Dale,, S.V. Platano Grande,, Sonora, Ca."
