Lowrance LCX-17m Sonar

With its super high-detail, 7" monochrome display, the LCX-17m offers even more Supersharp Grayline® definition for superior target separation. The 480V x 640H pixel VGA monochrome display has 16-level Gray scale. Its digital memory card slots are compatible with a variety of plug-and-play electronic chart options. Youcan choose units with 200 kHz 20° Skimmer transducers with 3,000 watts of peak-to-peak power and a depth capability of 1,000 ft., or a dual 50/200 kHz 35°/12° transducer with 8,000 watts peak-to-peak power and a depth capacity of 3,000 ft. All units have Advanced Fish Symbol I.D.™ to identify fish targets, along with FishTrack™ to display the depth of each target and FishReveal™ to show fish hiding in cover. Each unit provides water temperature readings, and automatic HyperScroll™ permits clear viewing even at high speeds. You can view on a full or split screen, and the display can easily be viewed in the dark or bright sunlight. ASP™ Noise Rejection fine-tunes sonar settings. These units also have multizoom options, high-speed screen redraw, sonar alarms, resizeable windows, simplified menus, and a backup memory. One-year warranty. Note: Lowrance recommends the 200 kHz single-frequency 20° transducer for freshwater applications. For saltwater applications and tracking downrigger balls, the 50/200 kHz dual-frequency 12°/35° transducer is the best choice.

Lowrance LCX-17m Sonar, April 11, 2007
By cruisor from Tacoma, WA

"This is my first time with Lowrance products and I'm finding that these are first rate products. The resolution is wonderful and finding those bottom holding fish is now so much easier. The GPS portion has been easy to learn and is very functional providing not only where you need to go but where you've been. Nice to have an outline of the areas you've fished throught out the day. Installation was easy and very straight forward. I highly recommend these units and Lowrance in general and look forward to to "upgrading" in the future. Also they're site is really great, very informative."

LCX-17m, February 15, 2007
By arky from Beaver Lake Arkansas

"This is the best 7" monochrome, or any size for that mater, Lowrance that you will get, I put it on the bow with a dual frequency transducer and networked to a GPS that is shared with an LCX-27c on the console, awesome.

The LCX27 and the LCX-17 matched up nicely as a pair my boat."

LCX-17M Worth The Money and More, December 14, 2006
By BassClubPresident from St. Louis, MO

"I purchased the LCX-17m from Cabela's a while back and have come to really appreciate what it can do.

The buttons and menus are conveniently located and match those of the other Lowrance units exactly.

I purchased this unit because of the increased signal power, resulting in a more detailed image of what is below me. I use sonar quite a bit for bass fishing on the deep highland lakes of the Missouri Ozarks.

This unit has virtually every feature that the other more expensive units have. The only difference is the monochrome display vs. color. I now have a monochrome and a color unit. There are visual advantages to color, but that comes at a price.

I recommend the LCX-17m as a good, sound, powerful, and detailed sonar/GPS unit. I have it networked to another unit in my bassboat and it performs very well."
