Looking for something to do over the cold winter? Are you interested in learning how to tie a Fly for Fly Fishing? Join The Southeast Wisconsin Chapter of Trout Unlimited as they teach and show you the different techniques used to create a fly. Learn about the different equipment used including vises, tools and the different material possibilities to construct a fly. This class is for beginners to experts! Everyone is welcome! This is a great class to bring your youth to. A limited amount of tools and materials are provided, but can also be purchased in the fly shop. Come to one or all of our classes. Registration is required.

Richfield Cabela’s 4th Annual Fly Tying Contest Now through March 4 Store Hours Fly Shop
Whether you are a beginner at fly tying or seasoned pro, now is your chance to tie up your favorite fly and submit it to Cabela’s in Richfield for entry in our 4th Annual Fly Tying Contest!

Richfield Cabela’s is hosting the 4th Annual Fly Tying Contest. There are two groups you can enter in:

Youth: 16 and younger
Adult: 17 and older

In each group there are 3 categories you can enter a Fly:
1. Wet
2. Dry
3. Most Creative

Drop of your winning fly to the Fly Shop at Cabela’s now-March 4 during store hours. All contestants must fill out a Cabela’s Fly Tying Contest Entry Form. These forms are provided in the Fly Shop. If you need a copy of the entry form prior to coming to the store, please contact Stephanie Crangle at 262.628.5700. Entry forms may be sent to you via email, fax or mail.

Fly’s will be on display for all to see!

Judges will be from Trout Unlimited. Finalists will need to be prepared to tie the winning fly in front of the judges, if asked, on March 18.

Awards Ceremony will be March 18 from 2:00pm-3:00pm. Awards will be given to a winner in each category, both groups. Grand Prize will also be given. Come join the fun!
