The class is a great introduction to hunting in Texas and covers Texas hunting regulations, wildlife management and identification, conservation, ethics, firearm and hunting safety and responsibility, and outdoor skills. The Texas Wildlife and Parks Department requires any hunter born on or after September 2, 1971 and at least 9 years old, to take this class. Concealed Handgun License Class Dates through 2012 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Conference Room / Red River Shooting Range in Sherman
Lieutenant Richard Deggs, of the Allen Police Department, is teaching Concealed Carry Handgun classes at our Allen, Texas location. The class meets the State of Texas requirement for your CHL license. The class fee is $125.00. For those who need to renew, the class is designed for you to attend the first portion (5 hours) of the class and then meet the class at the range to re-qualify for a fee of $75.00. The class is designed for class interaction and participation in conjunction with a power point presentation. The class room is spacious and open for a quality learning environment. The class includes the required instruction, passport photographs, passport photograph holders, current handgun law book, required notarized forms, range fees, state examination, refreshments throughout the class and a meal. This class teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for safely owning and operating a pistol. From rubber worms, to spinners, and earthworms to fish eggs, walk into Cabela’s and the choice of baits and lures is enormous. Learn from our expert outfitters what works best in different waters and for different species.

4:00 p.m. - High Tech Fishing:
Humminbird, Lowrance, and Garmin offer the latest sonar technology to help you find the fish. We’ll cover how sonar works and the features of the latest fish finders including side imaging, down imaging, and structure mapping.

For new handgun owners or those who need a refresher, comprehensive non-shooting class includes a review of all types of handguns, ammunition, proper handling, and safety. Class size is limited.
