Cabela's BBQ Boot Camp - Part 1
Session 1 - Pellets, Charcoal, Woodchips, Propane. Ever wondered what the difference really was between them all? We will help you through the process of choosing the right grill for your "king of the grill" needs.

Session 2 - Spices, Seasonings, and all the accessories. See and taste the variety of spices, rubs, and sauces that can accentuate any recipe. Using our Cabela's spices, seasonings, rubs, and sauces, we'll be making Grilled Corn with the non-stick corn grilling basket, and kabobs with the Calypso Skewers.

Session 3 - Cleaning & maintaining your grill. Protect your investment by knowing the proper way to clean and store your grill.

Cabela's BBQ Boot Camp - Part 2
Session 1 - Beer Can Chicken - If you have never had drunken chicken, than you are missing out on the best tasting and simplest way to cook a bird.

Session 2 - Jalapeno Roaster - Great for an appetizer or great as a side dish. Remove the top of the jalapeno pepper, remove the seeds, and stuff with your choice of meat, seafood, or cheese. Free tastings of our favorite recipes!

Session 3 - Multi-faceted Grilling Baskets - Turn your grilling basket into a wok on the grill to make Asian Stir-fry. Or, use it to make kabobs without the skewer; mini-burgers or sliders; or bite sized vegetables, chicken, and seafood. No more losing food and having it fall through your grill.

Cabela's Scouting Challenge
All boy scout, girl scout and venture crews are invited to participate in our annual Cabela's Scout Challenge.

10:00 a.m. Check-In
10:30 a.m. Announcements and Instructions
11:00 a.m. First Challenge begins

• 1st place overall winning patrol will win a Cabela's Grand Prize.
• 1st place patrol for each individual station will be awarded a prize.
• All troops/crews taking part will be presented with a participation gift and Scout badge of honor for competing in the Cabela's Scout Challenge.
• All troops/crews will receive a troop discount the day of the event.

All Troops/Crews must be registered by August 10th if you want to participate in the event. Please specify the number of youth and adults as well as the number of patrols planning to attend.

Each troop will have a designated spot to set up a pop-up tent or EZ-up, chairs, and lunch on the east side of the store. Lunch will not be provided.
