Stay Safe on Texas Lakes this Holiday

Summer Terrestrial Fly Tying Techniques
Join Chaz Pair, Cabela's expert fly tier as he demonstrates the basics of tying effective summer patterns for catching more fish during hot Texas conditions. Bring your own materials/vise or use Cabela's to create your own unique terrestrial pattern.

Archery Elk Hunting
Join Scott McGann, Mossy Oak/Far West Big Game Pro Staff of Idaho, as he presents techniques from calls to attire to ensure that your next big hunt is a success.

Youth Bow Building Class
Do you have children who love the outdoors and who would enjoy building their very own, fully-functional bow? In the Cabela's Youth Bow Building Class, students will learn about bow safety, build, shoot, and paint a bow that they will take home with them at the end of the class. The finished product will be a 50 inch bow made of rattan that will pull from 15-20 pounds of the child's draw length. The class is recommended for children between the ages of 7 and 12 and parents must accompany their child to the class. Once the class is in session, parents can stay and help or spend some time checking out the retail store. Students can reserve their spot in the class, by paying $40 ahead of time. Walk-ins are welcome if there is room in the class and a payment of $40 will be required at the beginning of class. Please contact instructor John Forney at 682-558-6061 to register. Parents must sign a waiver for each child participating.

Cabela's Youth 3D Archery Shoot
Bring your bow and arrows and join us for a Youth 3D Archery Shoot for a chance to win free Cabela's gear. The 3D Archery Shoot will take place at Cinnamon Creek Ranch from 10am-2pm. After the shoot, the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony and celebration at Cabela's. All shooters will receive a Cabela's goodie bag including a free hot dog lunch. Age groups for the archery shoot are: 10 and under open, 11-14 male, 11-14 female, 15-18 male, and 15-18 female. There will be prizes for 1st through 3rd place in each category. Bow Safety Seminar
Cabela's promotes safety while using bows and other equipment while enjoying the great outdoors. Join us on the first Saturday of every month for a quick lesson on Bow Safety. This class is great for kids who are just getting started in bow hunting and for hunting professional who might need to brush up on their safety skills. Customers who attend will receive a free gift from Cabela's upon completion of the course.

Join the Cowtown Hunting Retriever Club on the second Tuesday of every month for an in depth look at the world of Hunting Retrievers. Cowtown is a family oriented club with members of all ages participating. Whether you want a better hunting companion in your retriever, want to compete with your retriever in Officially Sanctioned Hunt Tests, or are just thinking about getting your first retriever puppy, you won't want to miss the opportunities to learn all about retrievers with Cowtown HRC. This seven hour class is highly recommended for all boaters. It is required for all motorboat and personal watercraft operators 13-17 years of age. Reservations are required, as class will be cancelled unless a minimum of 4 students are registered. You definitely want to attend this class as most insurance companies will give 10-20 percent discounts to boat owners who have completed the course. $13/certification.
