Its all-metal DropDead internal brake system completely eliminates launcher bounce, providing complete fletching clearance and consistent flight on every shot. The lightning-fast fall-away rest maximizes forgiveness. Exclusive Arrow Containment System™ features a fully adjustable, three-position arm that fits all bows and holds your arrow on the rest at all times. The launcher arm cocks into the up position before you draw and stays there until you release. If the arrow needs to be let down, the included launcher pad catches and keeps the arrow in position for a follow-up shot opportunity. The Slimline launcher lets you move the rest for optimal tuning without riser interference. An internal dampener eliminates metal-to-metal contact, and a soft overmolding eliminates contact between the arrow and launcher for ultraquiet operation. Offset cord minimizes arrow interference.

This is my first drop away type rest. After years of trying to tune arrows for fletch clearance problems that is a thing of the past. I was a little concerned with the cable attachment that actuates the rest, but that has not been a problem with noise or reliability. It was installed by the local pro shop. I haven't touched it once in 2 years for adjustments, and it still working as it should. I like the way it flips up and stays prior to drawing to hold the arrow. It does fall down when letting down, which is one way they could improve this product. Much better than any other rest I have used.

Got this rest thinking it would be extremely amazing but took me sometime to figure out how to get everything set perfect, after I got everything adjusted it was working the way that I was expecting at first
Read all the instructions first before shooting your bow

I really like this rest. It's not quite as convenient as my QAD Ultra, for the simple fact that the Code Red will fall if you let down your bow, and the QAD only falls if you actually fire the bow, which makes a big difference if you're trying to let down a 70lb hardcam without spooking a buck.
I really like this rest, very fast, easy to tune, and very reliable. The thumb lever to raise the rest is actually easier to reach for me than the QAD.
The Code Red rest did everything I asked it to, and it's a VERY reliable rest, even in the cold.

Plastic launcher will fail

I liked the rest all except in cold temperatures the plastic laucher broke in freezing temperatures in idaho on a late mule deer hunt. Used the rest for 2 seasons in september and got along fine but the first shot at 15 degrees F and the plastic laucher broke just above the screws. Hours from home...... on a weekend hunt...no pro-shops open......can't tolerate it. period.
