Get Your Nevada and California Hunting and Fishing Licenses at Cabela's

Get your Nevada and/or California hunting and fishing licenses and any specialized season stamps at Cabela's. Stop by the customer service counter to get yours while you shop for all your gear for your next hunting of fishing trip. We have both Nevada and California hunting and fishing guides and regulations produced by the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) and the California Department of Fish and Game (CDFG), respectively.

Conceal Carry Weapons Class: Nov. 20 & 21; Nov. 23 & 24

CCW Certification
Get your CCW certification that is good for several states including NV. NRA-Certified Chief Range Safety Officer and law enforcement officer Bradd Davidson will teach this comprehensive two-day course (the second day is a full day at the range). Bradd is also certified to teach muzzle loading, personal protection in the home, pistol, rifle, shotgun and reloading. Cost is $125 per person. Attendees must be at least 21 years of age. Women's Introduction to Handguns
This is a special class for women only who have always wanted to learn the basics on handguns, self-defense and the sport of shooting. This is an introductory level class and a portion is taught indoors in Cabela's conference room and the remainder is held at an outdoor shooting range. Everything needed for the class including handguns, ammunition, targets, hearing and eye protection are provided by the NRA certified instructors. Donation Guidelines

Donation Guidelines
Cabela's is proud to provide support for area conservation partners and charities. Due to the large volume of requests received, we have established policy for all donations. Our retail program supports non profit 501( c ) (3) organizations located within 125 miles of the Reno store. All requests must be mailed on official letterhead of the beneficiary at least 45 days prior to the event date. Requests can be mailed to:

In order for your request to be considered, please include the following information: date of the event and brief description, information on the beneficiary, how you plan to use item (auction, raffle, etc.), contact name and telephone number; your non-profit organization's tax ID number. Faxed requests will not be accepted. In order to assist the largest number of organizations annually, we can consider only one donation request per organization, per calendar year. If you are outside of our market area, please contact the store closest to your event, or contact our corporate headquarters for consideration. If you are looking for sponsorship and marketing opportunities, you need to include one of our completed worksheets with your proposal. Contact the events coordinator at (775) 829-4128 to obtain one of our forms.


Fish Feeding Schedule

Weekly Fish Feeding – Mon., Tues., Wed. & Sat.
Stop by the aquarium for our fish feeding. The activity heats up in the aquarium during the feeding, especially when we dump live gold fish in the tank, so get there early.

If you have a group of 5 or more and would like a guided tour of our store, please contact Jamie Klund, Events Coordinator, at 775-829-4128 for future details. We have two, 7,000-gallon aquariums, over 200 trophy mounts including our North American display at the back of the store on Conservation Mountain, an African safari diorama collection in the middle of the store and numerous mounts and displays of land and aquatic wildlife throughout the store.
