Nosler® E-Tip Bullets

  • Lead-free bullet design
  • No copper fouling
  • Polymer tip and Energy Expansion Cavity
  • Devastating expansion
This lead-free bullet is built on a highly concentric gilding metal frame for superb penetration and weight retention with less fouling than regular copper bullets. A polycarbonate tip prevents deformation in a magazine, boosts aerodynamic efficiency and initiates expansion. The Energy Expansion Cavity™ expands immediately on impact yet retains 95%+ weight for superb penetration. The boattail bullet reduces drag with an efficient flight profile. Per 50.

90 grain E-TIP on elk!!
Date:
After selling my .300 mag in the middle of season this year, I had no choice but to find a bullet for my .243 that was capable of taking down an elk. I chose the 90 grain e-tip. After spending a day doing loads, I settled on 40.8 grains of RL-17. Best group was about 3/4", not great but it had to work.
I ended up taking my bull at 200 yards and a nice muley at 100 yards about a week later. Both animals piled up hard. I was not impressed with the groups from the e-tip, but MAN!!! did they do a number on the critters. Keep in mind I was also waiting for the perfect shot and nothing over 300 yards with the .243. Not a recommended caliber for elk, but I would totally do it again. Great Round!!

Africa
Date:
I Used 180Gr in a 30-06 AI and 150 Gr in a 280 Rem on a safrai for African Plains game. The only bulets recover out of 15 animals taken were of the 150Gr, both weighed 149Gr with a perfict mushroom. My eland was shoot facing me, with the bullet passing through the heart and lost in the paunch. Both rifles grouped around 3/4" with these bullets, so it has become mt bullet of choice over barnes as in is less expesive and fantastic results
