Hornady® .338-Caliber, .338" Diameter Rifle Bullets

These .338-caliber bullets come in three spire point models, 200-grain, 225-grain, and 250 grain and one Super Shock Tip in 225 grain. All have the exclusive InterLock ring to ensure perfect expansion without jacket/core separation, making an excellent hunting bullet. The Super Shock Tip (SST) model has polymer tips and boattail designs to produce a higher ballistic coefficient for enhanced long-range accuracy.

I bought the Interlock to use for target and hunting. They are very accurate in my 338/06. Very deadly on game. I shoot a Texas Hog using a Texas heart shoot that completely destroyed the pelvic bone and came to rest in the front of the lungs still together, but greatly expanded. Great performance for a reasonably priced bullet.

I reloaded a variety of different C.O.A.L for my 338 Win Mag (Vanguard). WOW. Half price of other bullets and darn near touched all three bullets.(3/8 center to center@100yd) The potion my gun liked was 70.5 grains of IMR 4350 seated at 3.380 with Fed 215 Primers, I can't wait to get the new Leupold CDS on this thing. Start with the Max COAL (touching riflings) and then seat bullet back .010 load 3, next back .050 from rifilings load 3, next .090 off riflings load 3, lastly .0120 off riflings load 3, one of these groups will shine compared to others. Then lengthen or shorten the COAL to find YOUR rifles sweet spot.

Bought these and Nosler Accubond 200 Gr. They both printed 3 shots in 100 yds at half the cost. Deer didn't know the difference when hit.
