A superior locking-ring design features an easy-to-use cross bolt that clamps the ring around the entire die. This results in more precise mating of the locking ring threads to the die threads for uncompromising alignment. Sizing dies are hand-polished before and after being heat treated. All dies include a oversized die storage box. The Bench Rest® Seater Die is one of the best straight-line seating dies available. A specially machined, close-fitting chamber holds the case, the bullet and the seating stem all in perfect alignment for consistent results cartridge after cartridge. Seating stems match your special bullet needs such as those encountered during the loading of most VLD(Very Low Drag) bullets on the market. Compatible with any standard 7/8" x 14 thread reloading press.

Do yourself a favor and buy this die along with the Forster bushing neck/body die. If you're using a standard RCBS die set and trying to get quality rounds to run through an upper end rifle, you're wasting your time and money. Here's why: CONCENTRICITY.

This die lives up to it's name and performs as well as my high end micrometer equipped Redding dies. With the longer bullets I am getting runout readings of .005" of an inch or less. Most of them are around .002"!! For those of you who don't measure runout, this die used in combination with some type of bushing/bump die will give you the assurance of a really straight round. Also, this seater doesn't leave that nasty little mark on the ogive of the bullet like the aforementioned seater does. It is designed for the longer, sleeker match bullets with delicate jackets but seems to work well with all types as long as you don't have excessive neck tension. (another problem with standard sizer dies)

Here's the bottom line: My groups have shrank to half their former size and I'm no longer worried that something is wrong with my rifle. 5 Stars!!!!
