Optic scope does what is advertised. Reticle Came centered and adjusts like any crosshair scope. Brightness settings function properly for each color. Scope does not walk during multi-fire and will allow tight shot group (rifle dependent). Adequate magnification for 3X out 100 yds, farther distances will sacrifice repeatability of accuracy. Good scope overall.
I was tossed between this and traditional red dot or holographic type optic. I elected to try the Burris thanks to Cabela's 60 day return guarantee. I mounted the scope on a newly built AR15. The mount is nice and strong. I was very happy that the scope came with a sun shield as well as flip up covers all for the same price. Shooting three shot groups the scope zeroed in 12 rounds dead center into the target. The scope is very clear and the fact that if the battery was to give out you still retain the reticle. I really enjoyed the 3x magnification. Not too much for close in targets. Cabela's will not get this scope back.
I wanted something I could afford and still get an optic that would do what I was looking for. I didn't want something cheap. Burris has been around and I read a lot of reviews. I have to say that I was a bit concerned when I went to the range the first time and could not get any color, either red or green to light up in the site. Tell me if I am wrong, but when I am in a dark or low light area the light comes on nice. But in daylight the light stays off and I get the Black site picture.. It works fine, just wasn't clear on that before I purchased it. Much better for my old eyes than the back up sites. However I had to remove the back site to mount it to the top of my M&P 15 OR. Somewhere I am sure there is a mount that I will find so I can reinstall the back site. I did notice the 2nd time out the 2 screws worked loose from the mount to the scope. Tighten em and was good to go.
Was up in the air about this purchase. Wanted an EO Tech but the reticle and 3x magnification won me over. Sighted it in today and am very very pleased with it. The reticle is awesome and the magnification is a huge plus!! Great field of view and crystal clear sight picture.
