Now with a built-in shade and the ability to select red-, blue- or green-dot reticles, it's a great choice for shotguns and muzzleloaders in addition to handguns. Mounting is a snap with the integrated 5⁄8" rail mount that adjusts to a 3⁄8" mount in seconds. Unlimited eye relief. Click adjustments for windage and elevation. 11-position reticle rheostat. 50-yard parallax setting. 5-MOA dot. 1X magnification.
Weight: 5 oz.
Bought this RD a little over a week ago from an area gun shop. It has 11 position brightness control for low or bright light. I put this on my S&W M&P .22 Rifle. For the price you can't go wrong. I've read the other reviews but I have not had any problems with the red dot. Settings on the dial are 0-11, 0 being turned off and 11 being brightest. After I sighted it in I put over 400 rounds through my rifle and only had to make 1 or 2 adjustments( due to wind) I would of given it 5 stars but for the following reasons I only gave it 4. 1. The lenses are not magnified so really 50-70 yds is tops. 2. The adjustment knobs for wind and elevation are not like most scopes where you can turn to adjust. On this you have to unscrew the protector caps and then adjust with a flat head screwdriver.
Overall I am very pleased, especially with the price!
I purchesed this scope 2 weeks ago. When I mounted it on my rifle I could see all 3 colors of dots at all intensities. This was in doors. I took it to the range today and I can't see any of the dots at any intensity. I found I could see the red dot when aimed into a dark cornor of the woods. Doesn't work very well in the brightness of day light. I would not recommend for use outdoors.
Piece of junk. I only have the red dot, none of the others work, and only have one intensity setting works. I put this on a shotgun and it won't hold zero. You buy a cheap scope, you'll get cheap results.
