The new Victory RF encompasses years of engineering to create the ultimate rangefinding, ballistic information binocular. To give it unmatched versatility, you can use the rangefinder button to easy acquire your targets range or activate the Ballistic Information System (BIS™) to show the holdover value shortly after the distance is shown. Customize it to your specs with the set button by matching your load's trajectory. The 45mm objectives offer a 15% brighter view and provide crystal-clear vision in any light. And when the conditions worsen and your equipment takes a beating, the LotuTec® lens coatings cause water to roll right off and dirt and grime wipe off with ease. When ranging, the self-illuminating LED display appears in the center of the field of view. Also, it automatically adjusts to the brightness of the surroundings, allowing you to read targets against the toughest backgrounds and in any type of light condition. They have strength and durability without the weight through the magnesium body and tough rubber armor that absorbs shock and noise. Waterproof, fogproof and dustproof features make these binoculars suitable for any extreme condition.

Outstanding Binos, Weak LRF

First, the binoculars are outstanding quality - absolutely fantastic in every respect. 5 stars for the binoculars.
Next, the laser rangefinder is not reliable on game animals and I have to rate it as a failure. I owned these for three weeks and found that sometimes it would range an animal, and many times it would not.
The event that tipped me over the edge and pushed me to return these was a non-hunting trip to New Mexico. The LRF could not consistently return a range on a herd of antelope between 300 - 450 yards. A herd of bison at 700 yards completely stumped the rangefinder. Out of a herd of over 100 animals, it could not range a single one. The LRF did return a signal off some bushes in the general area, but could not return a signal off of the bison themselves.
The Swarovski monocular LRF that I have used for a few years is far more reliable, and I definitely recommend it. I will continue to use it and a separate pair of binoculars. It is a bulky set-up, but very reliable.
One other important point, these LRF binos do not focus nearly as close as regular comparable binoculars. If you also need binoculars for birding or butterflies, definitely stick to regular binos with good close focus capability.
Cabelas customer service was excellent, and took the Zeiss LRF binoculars back without any hassle. I ended up exchanging them for some Swarovski 10x50 binos, which I will use with the Swarovski monocular LRF.
I will continue to give Cabelas my business over online vendors because they provide a shop with salespeople who are helpful, have products to compare in hand side-by-side, and stand behind what they sell. They earned my loyalty long ago, and one more time all over again.

i have ranged elk at 1700 yards easyly. It picks up every time and have never had a problem with it. TOTALLY WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!!!!

Sure they are expensive. They will last a lifetime and are a dream to use. The clarity is outstanding and cut down on spotting scope use.The rangefinder works better than I imagined, 1750 yds without much effort, target acquisition is exceptional. Marking deer to 1000 yds.The only complaint is reading the display in bright light. My hunting partners would clean their optics daily because of heavy dust, with the coating on the Zeiss optics it was not neccessary. By far worth every penny.

Best optics Ever

I owned the leica 8x42 binocular rangefindr but did not like that the the range button was on the left side because i am right handed. and couldnt acsess the button with my bow in hand after buying the Zeiss the glass is so much clearer and the button is on the right side i am so glad i sold my Leicas and bought the zeiss rangefinder binoculars they are the best of the best.PEROID
