Very Disappointing Rangefinder
Date:
I experienced several problems with this rangefinder:
1. The rangefinder would go far enough down in the carrying case to allow me to close the cover.
2. The power button and ranging button are one the same, causing it to shut off when you are trying to range. I don't know if I just got one with a bad button, but that button made it shut off often when I was trying to range in a target... very frustrating!
3. It ate threw batteries quickly. After taking it out the box, I ranged 2 objects and the battery died. I put in a new battery, ranged 3 targets and the new battery died.
I thought maybe my problems were due to user error, so I let my brother-in-law use it. He had the same problems, so I took it back to Cabela's (great) customer service department for a refund.

Great Accuracy
Date:
This is an amazing rangefinder. I have brought it to a golf range to tell the accuracy of this and it was spot on. I have used it for golf, hunting, and I use it when I go on hikes because I like to know how much of a drop it is to scare my son.
The battery life is decent if you put in cheap batteries. Spend a few extra bucks on some nice batteries and it lasts forever.

a curate's egg

As a 900-yard rangefinder with inclinometer, the price is keen but, since it's my first rangefinder, I don't really know how it compares with others. The view and reticle seem good and it functions well, up to a point. Readings have compared well with rifle-range markers and a mate's RF and it once registered a tree at 1030 yards. The inclinometer works well, though hitting mid-range targets on steep angles really needs more under-aim than knowing the horizontal distance indicates.
However, it sometimes needs coaxing - ranging on closer things and gradually out to to the target - to get a reading. Worse, the batteries seem to last no time at all.
