I have used the rangefinder for deer, elk and predator hunting in the cascade mountains and lower country. No more guessing distances, this thing has been spot on everytime. A must buy!

Decent for the $$
Date:
I've had this rangefinder for 2 yrs now and have used it many of times in all types of conditions. I've never been able to have it read past +/- 800 yds. I guess for the money the optics are pretty good. I'm selling it to a friend who bow hunts and buying a Leica CRF 1600.

Nikon Gold 1200 Camo
Date:
Very Good unit ,have had opportunity to use unit in a vareity of situations, and it has worked accurately. Was suprised that it would still read accurate through a plate glass window. Cant say what the maximum ranging capability of unit is,have only checked it out to 900yds so far. However I gave unit 4stars because the optics of the unit is not the usuall crystal clear quality I have come to expect from Nikon. Finally the means of switching the units functions from one mode to another,is a really bad design.I can switch mode funtions from one to another on a cheap digital watch much faster and way easier, than the way Nikon used on this unit. But all aside I am still pleased with the unit.
