It is unfortunate that Leupold made a good optic and paired it with a terrible mount. The rangefinder works quite well.
Since the mount is made for both right and left-handed shooters, I found that the excess bar stock got in the way of my quick-release quiver. A trip to a friend with a lathe eliminated that problem.
Ball joint adjustment is terrible. You can't hone in on the adjustment. Every time you loosen it, the potential is to have to start all over again.
Once I had it adjusted and cranked down to secure it in place, I found that after about 50 practice shots, the laser had wandered off about 8 inches to the left.
Mount needs to be re-designed to operate the same way that bow-sights are moved and secured. Until then, it is an unreliable tool. And, I have and love many other Leupold optics products.
My wife and I both have these on our bows. After about your 13th or 15th try at sighting these things in, it does get somewhat easier; it's definitely a 2 person operation. Their mounting brackets won't fit all bows. After sighted-in they work fairly good and have always given us consistent reading compared with our handheld range finders. The activation switch was not quite long enough to mount the switch where I wanted it on my bow, so I'm having to learn to like the compromise location. All and all they a good product after you get them sighted in and seem to hold Zero well.
Great concept but lacks the engineering design to stablize the rangefinder while shooting. I read other reviews that stated the Vendetta would not stay sighted in while shooting, but risked it anyway. I found that the other reviews were dead-on about the instability. I tried it first on a 70 lb bow and secondly on a 60 lb bow. It required re-sighting, which is not an easy task, after a few shots with either bow.
Watched the video for setup. Attemped to sight in the laser at least four times. It was so sensitive to movement, that every time I tightened down on the screws it was off again by a 6"-12".
I felt that any slight jar or bump with the bow in the field would throw the sight off. Plus my LED never worked at all. I sent it back.
