Replaced a Nikon 800 that only worked to about 400 yds. This one ranged a cow elk in the open at 914 this last season. Very easy to use, clear optics. Good battery life.

Excellent optics and range finding..

I've replaced carrying my 10x42 mid-range binos with this rangefinder for archery hunting from the treestand. The optics transmit low light as well as the binos do, the difference in viewing power is minor. I used this rangefinder on an elk hunt with rifles out West and had no issues with ranges out past 850 yards on forested land and open meadows. I fully trust that the range was accurate and matched my knowledge of the area. I'll be getting a second one with TBR for my gun hunts, this one is excellent for the archery season. With any decent bow with speeds approaching 280-300 FPS, the range doesn't change more than a yard or two for the treestand angles.

What a fantastic product, I have compared the optics with my Swarovski 7x42 Binocular in low light conditions and it compared very good with the Swarovski. The range acquisition is very fast at normal distances. It takes a bit more time around the 800m mark however it is still very fast. I have also compared the rangefinder with the Bushnell fusion 1600. Apart from the obvious better visibility due to the higher magnification 10x, instead of 6x that the Leupold offers. I still prefer the RX1000i for ease of use and the normal BAS setting in TBR. It is very light and fits easily in your shirt pocket, easy one hand operation. Well done to Leupold with a good product!!
