An economical rangefinder that's packed with features. Gives accurate readings to 300 yards on deer-sized targets, 600 yards on trees, and 999 yards on reflective targets. Also measures distance in meters. 5X magnification allows you to pinpoint your target for positive readings, while the 24mm objective lets in plenty of light for dawn and dusk situations. Vertical configuration offers comfortable one-handed operation. BullsEye, Brush and SCAN modes. Aiming circle reticle and low-light display. Diopter adjustment with click-stops. Built-in tripod mount. Runs on a 3-volt battery (included). Angle Range Compensation (ARC) bow and rifle modes provide true-angle compensation. ARC accounts for the terrain angle when calculating distance, so you know precisely how to shoot the range. No guesswork.

I went down to cabelas and bought this unit. i was very excited since it was the first one i had every purchased, i was pleased at the look, it was a nice realtree camo, the battery compartment was great, on the cap was a flip-up little handle, so you do not need a coin to get the battery out. the diplay was small black letters at first, but you can adjust the display to make it bigger, the modes are simple to use, and the ballistic settings (once you learn them) are great. it is small and compact, easy to hold. i have ranged deer and trees and such and it worked great, although im excited to, i have not taken it hunting, i am looking forward to taking it out west and using it to deer hunt in michigan, overall great product.

The first one I received worked all of 15 minutes. I had to return it. The second one is working great so far. Other than that, I think its a great product. Lots of good features. Archery mode is very accurate. Can't wait to try rifle mode.

My Scout 1000 has performed flawlessly in the field. I used it set on Bow to find the absolute range on a 3X3 whitetail with my crossbow last year. Range was flawless. I have had it for a little over a year. I did have trouble with my batteries running out after very little use. Returned it to Bushnell and they just returned a brand new one to me which appears to function correctly. Original one must've been shorting out when off thus discharging the battery. These things happen. Thank You Bushnell.

Used this rangefinder throughout the Montana big game season. It worked very well ranging consistantly out to 750 yards. It has a number of settings so you can custimize it to your hunting needs. I found it fairly easy to set up and use.
